us: sometimes, we cook!

I, being a vegetarian, find the idea of cooking fun vegetarian meals wonderful! So much that I read food blogs and bookmark favorite recipes etc. HOWEVER, I hardly get experimental. But I am trying to work on that. So, as a start to giving you a glimpse into our everyday ventures, I figured it'd be fun to show you a typical, non-fancy everyday meal that I would cook. Plus, I love seeing other people's food pictures-not so sure why. It's kind of like seeing inside someone's
home.
Anyway, the fabulous food that I cooked last night was my very own mushroom pasta! Inexpensive, delightful, hearty (sorta).

For this, you will need:
1 yellow onion, chopped
4 portobello mushrooms, cleaned and cut into smaller pieces
Alfredo sauce of your choice (I apologize, Italians, I bought my sauce)
Shredded Parmesan cheese
Pasta

Simply saute' the chopped onions with the mushrooms so that the mushrooms pick up the flavor of the onions. Cook your pasta. warm your alfredo. Combine all elements and top off with shredded Parmesan! Wal-lah! You just made dinner! Nothing fancy, but again, delightful!

us: nye 2009-2010

New year's Eve was so fun last night! We went downtown to our good friend Jen's brother's apartment; me, Jason, my brother Dusten, my sister Jenn, and Jen and her husband Brooks. We hung out there drinking champagne until about an hour before midnight, then walked to the RiverWalk to watch fireworks. It was so fun and stress-free!
Oh BTW, my hair is red now! yay! I just got sassier!
